SEO is broadly classified into 2 types based on the tasks and are of 3 kinds based on practices.

  • White Hat SEO: The SEO techniques that are known to and are recommended by search engines are known as white hat SEO techniques.
  • Black Hat SEO: The SEO techniques that are unknown to search engines or are used to manipulate search results are known as black hat SEO techniques.
  • Grey Hat SEO: Grey Hat SEO is a technique that is a mixture of both white hat and black hat SEO.
